The SuperBowl is coming in just a few days… Yeah! I’ve always felt the best seat in the house was not at the stadium but right in front of my big-screen TV!

Why, you ask? Here’s the reality of a “live game” atmosphere…It’s not safe! Too many fights! (Especially if the Raiders are in town!)

Why, you ask? Here’s the reality of a “live game” atmosphere…It’s not safe! Too many fights! (Especially if the Raiders are in town!)

Yeah, football is a violent game, but the game takes a different twist when the fans start punching and tackling each other in the seats. Beer… profanity… more beer…obstructed views…some more beer…just doesn’t make for a great Sunday afternoon.

Don’t these clowns know everyone around them is trying to watch the game???

How are you supposed to enjoy the excitement with your kids when you’re worried about protecting them every minute of the game? Thank God I’m not an Eagles fan. Did you know they actually have a built-in Jail Cell at their stadium??

I was happy to see the NFL finally take some action on this issue. Did you hear what they did?

They activated an Anonymous Tipline at nearly every stadium in the league. Fans can send a text message to Security and point out an unruly drunk or troublemaker. The text message can describe the seat number, row, and location of the instigator. Security can then use a sophisticated video system to get an instant look at the area in question and decide how to respond. Pretty good idea…I must admit!

The NFL says it is working fairly well and they are receiving an average of 12-15 texts per game. Maybe now the fans can actually enjoy the game for a change.

Until every stadium starts issuing helmets and pads to all the fans, leave the fighting to the players on the field.

To all the “football fighting knuckleheads” out there…. GAME OVER!

Be Safe!
