Are You a Bank Robber? The Answer May Surprise You!
Today’s Lesson: Protect yourself from this dangerous deposit-slip prank!
Imagine this:
You stroll into your local bank or Credit Union to make a quick withdrawal just before a well-deserved vacation. You fill out your with-drawal slip, present it to the teller with a BIG smile… and the next thing you know… there’s a Police Officer pointing a gun at you, demanding that you “get down on the ground, and show me your hands!”
Say What??
Here’s the latest “prank” that’s not funny at all…not even a little bit…There are a few brain-dead people in this world that are getting a kick out of the scenario I just described. Here’s what they think is entertaining:
Remove a handful of Deposit/Withdrawal slips from the customer counter area and write the following words on the back of the slip: “This is a Robbery… I have a bomb!” Then the slips are placed back into the stack for an innocent customer to fill-out and unknowingly present a “demand note” to the bank teller!
May God help you if the ink and handwriting match yours…

Check the backs of those deposit slips… every time! It could mean the difference of spending your vacation on a warm, sunny beach… or in a cold, dark cell!
