Defend Yourself Against Multiple Attackers

Here’s a quick video about fending off multiple attackers. Lights Out!   (Starring The Professor & The Twin Interns)

Read the rest of this post for a serious lesson on defending yourself against more than one attacker.

A former Police Officer lays down a few rules about defending yourself from multiple attackers… without a weapon!

(He has a substantial background in karate with seven black belts and two black belts in jujitsu. He knows his stuff!)

He gives these 5 tips:

1. You must think quickly and anticipate the attackers’ moves.
2. Think in terms of striking targets that are potentially lethal. Consider striking the temple, throat, mastoid, spine, solar plexus, kidneys, groin, and knees. These targets maximize the effectiveness of your blows, thus conserving your strength and energy.
3. You must control your breathing to keep your anxiety in check and your energy level high.
4. Power can be increased by adding leverage, speed of delivery, and mass.
5. If you are fighting with your hands, be careful not to injure them.

Many “studies” have been conducted by the experts (self-defense instructors) that have the same basic conclusion:

If you are attacked by 3 or more fighters at the same time, you’re probably going to lose. A little dose of reality, I guess. :(

Another suggestion would be to attack the pride of the group leader… as in ,”You and Me…one-on-one. You don’t need any help do you?”

Of course, one final thought may cross your mind during a scenario like this is…………………….. RUN, BABY, RUN!!  :)

Have A Plan… Be prepared To Use It!
