I just picked up another 2-pack of Uniball 207 ink pens. When writing personal checks, I wouldn’t even think about using a different pen! (not even my Mont Blanc)
Why am I so picky about the pen I use to write checks??
Criminals all around the country are swiping your money using a simple product found at any local hardware store. Here’s how they can make $300 in approximately 4 minutes…
After breaking into a mailbox and sorting through stacks of endorsed checks (inside of payment envelopes), a typical thief will then pick up a quart of a fast-drying liquid (I can’t give away the name and encourage this behavior, right?) at Home Depot for under $3.00.
Then, he’ll pour the liquid into a small shallow bowl and dip just the upper half of your personal check for approx. 3 minutes. The liquid literally removes 99% of most inks without damaging the check paper. After the top half of your check dries…roughly 34 seconds when I timed it…the thief now has possession of a blank check that still has an endorsed signature. He fills out the amount for $300.00, cashes your check and your money goes in his pocket.
This pen can literally save you from becoming a victim of the fast-growing crime described above as “Check Washing”. The ink in the Uniball 207 has pigment fibers that literally attach themselves to the paper of your check. Basically… the ink in the 207 is far superior than other pens used to sign monetary documents. In fact, this pen is actually endorsed by the infamous Frank Abagnale, the feature story told in “Catch Me If You Can”.

I am glad to read that finally a company has created an ink that will enable the consumer to safely and confidently write a check with out fear that it will get stolen and their entire credit history destroyed.
Sanctuary Church will be purchasing these! wow! Never knew it was possible!! Crazy!
